I thought it would be a good idea, to open up an entire thread dedicated to tuning, all your help, needs and wants in one place. I know some of you are new, or dont know how to tune, so this is the place to be Smile

BMW = Saweeeet!... working on the tune still, but got it down to a 27.4's no TCS, hopefully down to the 27.1's over the weekend, doubt it though.

If anyone needs a tune to the 135i Lemmie know be more than happy to send one over Smile

I am in no position to question anyone else's comp but 371 HP in a FWD Focus? Undrivable. No big deal if there were no RWD cars, but there are. Since I missed out on anything driveable I'm gonna sit this series out...

Did that. Used every setting from my TCC car, which was the same as Tubbi's yet it is horrible. IMO FWD has a cap of 250 HP. Anything above that is a waste... if it were FWD only it would be ok, but when there is RWD inc AWD-RWD swaps FWD is as useless as tits on a nun.

British touring car in real life runs drivetrains for all 3 types, no point making it FWD only as it might as well be called "Hot Hatchback's".

Anyways I think IRT Flag and the guys have done a great job to make these car's as even as possible, can't say one car is worse and one's better just after one track.

Post by XBR Speedking Sun Nov 25, 2012 3:09 am

i totally agree, after one race it seems a bit harsh saying one car will run away with it. Personally i think the focus is a good car, yes maybe it has a bit too much power, but just means you have to be a bit gentle on the throttle (something which i am having to adapt myself to do lol) Also agree that real life touring cars have FWD AWD and RWD cars so why shouldn't we be the same. Each cars have different reasons for good and bad i guess...... i wouln't know as i had to drive the focus, but im guessing the AWD is a bit heavier and the RWD probably can be a bit tail happy.......

Myself and Glimmer once won a championship which was pretty much the same as this agianst the BMW in a Renault Megane. OK so it took alot of sorting out to get the car right, but we won it. lol

I guess that I have gotten so used to hi powered RWD and uberlow powered FWD that I just can't get my head around higher powered FWD. I guess I should have signed up first to get anything other than a FWD, but at the time I didn't think I'd make any of these races at all.

There still are 2 Vauxhall spaces left in the team spot Mikey, why don't you find a team mate and you can run RWD ready for next week Smile

This is based on the BTCC championship, which only consists of FWD and RWD cars. its also interesting to know that the mgtc cars, so the fwd cars consist of a turbocharged 300hp engine... I know the ford is heavy on power, but it compensates for its lack of handling, glimmer did ok yesterday

I really enjoyed last night the cars seemed very close, the RWD does have that start advantage however there not as quick warming the tyres plus if you get tapped you are more likely to spin.

i think your wrong on this mikey. The standard FocusRS FWD sold on the road today with 301BHP, and is a clut car. I find I maybe get beat off the line from a RWD, but if you tap the power correctly instead of just sinking the boot as u do in a rwd you get the results. It takes some reserve yes but as useless as tits on a nun,,,,,,eh,,,,bit harsh. Try taking off your lead boots chief.
