TORA Nurburgring 8 Hours

Out-The cars are a joke.

So uneven its not even funny,S2000s running in the 20s.
Not prepared to sit for 2 hours and watch people drive off just because their cars works better at that Pi.

I am in "D" lobby qualified 25th!!. There are two lambos in here so might have a bit of fun.

Good luck to all that are racing today, Don't forget some of us are representing XPLR. So lets prove a point and win!

Quite shocking to allow such massive gaps between cars for such a big comp. I cannot see me even touching 8.30's never mind 20's. my 8.43.200 last night was the best I've done so far though. Gutted we never made A lobby but then not surprised
you'd think it'd be strenuously tested, a comp like this. Obviously not! I'll still do my run though.

i am hammered.. still racing though, anything can happen over 8 hours

Bit annoying that the live streaming only seems to be showing just one lobby. I want to see how Cappie is doing, as well as you guys in the XPLR team integra... The feed I've been watching does have the XBR integra currently piloted by Mad Dog, but that's the only guy I 'know' in that lobby!



Also deano, that link you posted just takes me to a web page asking me to download the iPhone app.. I've downloaded it, but it still doesn't take me to the TORA Nurburg races

yep

Gutted I never actually got to race, just could not connect to the lobby host was trying to get me and 2-3 others in for a good 20 minutes, I gave up in the end

Wish I'd stuck with the first stint, maybe I'd have been able to connect to that lobby

I feel your pain, as that is what we ran into at the Britcar 24H. It seems that no matter the rule package, with Forza's PI system, using equal PI, there will always be that one car that takes off and devastates the rest. And if you disallow that one car, there will be another to take its place.

That being said, I feel that SP1 has more balance, but only slightly, and that is because the best car in that class, the current BMW M3 ALMS car, has been banned for this event.

Well for a first timer of endurance I did enjoy myself. Even though there was a delay of over an hour for my second stint!!!

My First stint was a little sketchy and managed an embarrassing 168 miles. My second stint however felt like I could push a little harder, which I did and then after a few laps found myself facing the other way with 3 SP3 cars coming towards me at the Hotel. After that I just could not catch the front runners.

However I did manage an extra 2 miles on my distance!!! 170 miles.

results have been re-done over in tora,,check for changes as it affects a few of us that were doing it.

But,,XPLR managed to gain two places to get 7th in class, and 25th overall. Not bad for an SP3 old chuffer!!

Big thanks to all my team mates. Nightmare put in a storm at the end and with solid performances form andy and deano am chuffed. Enjoyed the whole thing a lot if am honest

At least you managed to race, was gutted I couldn't get into the lobby was really looking forward to it as it would have been my first proper endurance event. Plus I LOVE the Nurburgring!



Hopefully we'll get an XPLR team together for the Le Mans next year well done to everyone who raced successfully on Saturday!

Here's some decent onboard footage from an actual Nurburg endurance race (real life!), filmed from a Dodge Viper CC back in 2009.

It's over 45 minutes long so best make sure you can commit to watching it some great cars going round, most of them BMW's!

Okay now that Nurburgring has come and gone, now I am ready for the next one.

Whether I have to wait for the 12 Hours of Sebring, or they go forward with the 24 Hours of Daytona (at Sunset)... either way I am ready as I am much better at those two tracks than I would ever be on Nordschleiffe. Really hoping that the Daytona thing happens, as I don't want to wait for March.

Ok just had a look at the new times. My team may have had issues with connection. However, I am pleased with the result, even though we DNF'd we aint last!!

Yeeeaaahhh that will be my fault lobby host SelectiveRogue kept trying to invite me and 3 others but after 20-30 minutes I gave up, didn want to delay things any further bloody Forza. Bloody Turn 10...

i am back with my own xbox time to get racing again with some of you

while this topic is still on going, anybody fancy teaming up with me for the up and coming gt series ? starts 20 jan i think it was lol lasts about 10 weeks 6 sprint races and 4 endurance races

let me know if your interesetd im looking to get in gt 3 in either the new viper car or the lambo or the bmw 74 gt3 i will be doing testing tonight if any of you are free
