TORA Nurburgring 8 Hours

TORA are one of the largest virtual racing sites, and i've had some great races over there


Particularly in their endurance events, where I have run at 24 Hours of Le Mans with Flyin Mikey J finishing 6th in the GT class, and at the 24 Hour Britcar where I finished 2nd in the GT class


Soon they will be announcing details of an 8 hour event at Nurburgring to take place on 8th December


There are no car lists released yet, but it will be a multi-class event


We would really like to put together some XPLR teams to enter, if you are interested post here, and i'll keep everyone updated

Can't wait for this - just a shame it's at the Nordschiefe, love the track but just SO slow there

Would be great to see a few XPLR teams as CQR should have a strong team out again.

The 24 hour events usually have live footage hosted from selected lobbies on the website - the atmosphere for these events is something I've never experienced with online racing before!

Quick thought. Would anyone be up for forming a few teams to represent XPLR in the upcoming TORA Endurance series?

I would like us to field a few teams if possible to support this event. the guys over in TORA do an outstanding job and a great event is a given

If we get enough interest we can pool resources and make a real push on the event. I would like us to share info, paints and the like plus hold weekly/bi-weekly shakedown sessions where we get the laps in and bring the laptimes down!

It looks like teams will be made up of two drivers, so if anyone is up for this post away and we can get it together.

(Although i think Scoz got the wrong idea when i asked him if he fancied 8 hours of ring action )

I have been asked of my plans for the Nurb8... after running the three hour stints in the XBR Nurb12, I have come to the conclusion that I am good for one single 2 hour stint of the Nordschlieffe. Plan is to set up a four man team doing single stints. If that plan suits anyone here, let me know.

As for the car, I know it will not be a Clubman class car, as that is what I ran in the Britcar, as well as in the XBR 12. I am so wanting to drive a BMW... whether its a TGT BMW or my E92 that Hailfire used to win at Britcar.

what? u mean u dont wear them while racing already? i mean the sheer finish stockings gain you at least 0.4 of a sec a lap in being more wind efficient.

yip,,,but best to gaffa tape the old fella back as well to save wind buffering,,,,true i can use it as a steering aid in times of trouble and low tyre adhesion, but health and safety first people..........
