Week 2 - chat

Race 1 was fine for me, got caught in mlux's (spelling?) blind spot and he turned into me causing us to both spin, i didnt really have an issue with that as my qualifying time was piss poor and i ended up finishing in front of him any way

Race 2 on the other hand had a spirited start to say the least a lot of bumping i had damage by the end of the first lap, into the 2nd lap lumpi was spun and collected me, causing an engine pop. Granted it wasnt sports man like in the slightest but i did back out with lumpi as theres no way i was going to sit by myself at the back hotlapping for the next 30 mins.

Hopefully nurburg will be more fun & thanks for the challenge this week mlux

I hear we had an XPR 1-2 in both races tonight!

Felt like bumper cars in race 2. I think it was a bad car/track combo. Hopefully next week is better and hopefully we never have to use this car in stock form ever again after this series, awful car

Enjoyed the first race and was looking forward to mixing it up in the 2nd.

A really poor start left me in last place but I was having a good time clawing a few positions back until my abortion of a pit stop. I swear I even had a couple of practice pits pre-lobby (knowing they were on a straight, I figured a good stop might have gained a position or two) and they worked fine. Unfortunately, during the race I got spat straight through. To make it worse, I took the opportunity to grab a drink and then saw myself creeping across the track. Not wanting to be a hazard, I accelerated onto the grass but went into the wall and then had to limp around until I could pit again. Lost two places, I think, (managed to get one back) but it meant I did the final 10 laps or so with no hope of catching anyone else.

I saw a couple of crashes but, apart from some really small touches, was a good clean race from my point of view. Overall, I really enjoyed it and it was a massive improvement over my showing last week (embarrassingly poor, shakes head in disgust). Looking forward to next week.
