New Guy to the League

Hey, I'm Jess from Colorado. I've done a lot of racing on the general Forza servers but I've gotten kind of tired of getting taking out every other race by some random guy so I was hoping to try out some racing on here as it sounds pretty fun. I was wondering what would be the best way to get started racing with you guys would be. I was also wondering if you think I can be competitive just using a basic XBOX controller or if you think I will get schooled if I don't have a wheel. I was also wondering of I need a microphone to compete on here as my dog at mine and I haven't bought a new one since. Thanks, Jess

Best way to start would be to get registered to race and join us in the Scirocco Cup if you can make it. First race of the season is on Thursday so not too long to wait.

I think most people race using a normal controller to be honest. I have a wheel but I only use if for messing around on. When it comes to race I'm actually faster with the controller so you should be fine

A microphone would be better but you should be able to manage without one just as long as you can hear us so you know what is happening.

Welcome Jess. Tj pretty much hit the nail on the head. You should join in on Scirocco cup for sure. A spec build is the easiest way to get yourself acclimated to the way organized races are run and a great way to test your skills as well.

I am here to answer any questions you have and can walk you through all the appropriate steps. I can supply you with a paint as well as a tune if this is not your forte.

First step is to get your driver number.

Look down the list in numerical order. If you see a number missing then that number is available.

Enter the number you want into the google doc then add your Gamertag and hit enter. You are done.

Then go HERE.

and follow the directions to register for the series.

Hey, Thanks for the reply. I would really like to compete in the Scirocco Cup but if I was looking at the times right I think I will be at work during that time. I can really only compete in races at night and on the weekends currently. However, when I go back to school in two weeks I should be able to make it work hopefully. I did sign up for a Touring Car Series on TORA which starts tomorrow so we'll see how that goes.
