Round 1 - My thoughts....

Hi Guys,

Hope your all well and enjoying your Sunday. Just wanted to thank everyone who took part last night in the first round of the RUF Cup.

I was expecting to struggle a lot more with this car but in race conditions it proved to be not too bad at all  

First race saw Eggy and Haydon clear off at the front where they stayed and battled to the end,,bloody quick pace they were both showing:shock: . I had a fairly epic battle for the third spot with Devil where we tagged eachother for nearly all of the 10 laps, often with only inches between us. Was that way until the last lap where DruggedupDonkey make a slightly over keen lunge on the inside of me going into the corner before the first bridge, which meant I lost a little speed and as such Deano managed to take the third spot from me  , next time maybe...lol

Second race was reverse grid, but managed not a bad run though the field to get up to 6th I think it was. Was a little lag in the lobby which caused XPR Soundwave to have a rather odd incident, which was a shame as I was looking forward to the battle with him.

Anyways, good first round....and was great to see some of the old regulars taking part as well.

Hopefully we will get a practice session posted this week for the next round...the hellish Road America,,lol. Not a good track for me but who know what will happen on the night.

Had a really good race with you in race 1 Greg. Held me up so much, that allowed Donkey to catch up. Was good to see the new and old XPLR faithful turning out. Nice one guys. The car did surprise me in race conditions. But so easy to make a mistake, which I like.

Race 2 was a blur. Started 3rd from the back and found myself in 2nd on lap 3. Made a nice move on S2M evo. Down the inside on the brakes. That was fun. Then moontower swerved to avoid the ants on the track and gave up 1st place to me. Happy with the win. Hopefully more to come. See ya at Rd America

Some great racing in that 2nd race, had some brilliant battles throughout that race! Really looking forward to taking this car round Road America, It's going to be a whirl!
