just want to start by saying really enjoyed the racing last night and how what such a bunch of great buys to race with.
As a newbie i dont want to throw any spanners in the cogs so to speak.

BUT

last night race involved a 10 a 12 and a 18 lap races. which racing time would be around 58mins to an hour.
NOW i fully understand that people cant get into lobbies for what whatever reason, and the last thing we need is ppl missing out, which i think we all agree is not what we want.
BUT quali didnt start until nearly 9.20pm adn by the time all races had finished it was not far off 11.20pm.
My issue is that as somebody that as to get up for work on a saturday at 5.15am by the time the last race was in progress i was really thinking about quiting last race to go bed lol.
now i thought we would be finished by 10.30 (maybe my fault for thinking that).
what id like to know is if this is a common theme regarding races,if so then i can make allowance in advance of all race,OR was it just a case of the first race of the season.

like i say im not trying to be a cock about it ,just like to know for future races.
Overall i really enjoyed my first race back and looking forward to the rest of the season.

Things "normally" don't take that long but on occasions can due to a number of reasons.I reckon if you allow, say 15 mins on each meeting as we do have the odd problems with people connecting as you saw last night which isn't indicative of how things generally go

Some good racing last night. It's a shame more people didn't turn up as it was a belter

The time taken last night was not normal in the scale of event times, but sometimes the CO staff hit problems in the background which has a knock on effect on the whole process.

Sorry for the delay last night and we will do our best always to get racers into their lobbies as fast as possible, which we often do,,but sometimes these things happen.

Fingers crossed round 2 goes smoother. Also, can all racer ensure they have sent a friends request to XPLR Group 1 please, as finding you is much easier that way, instead of hunting for you via other peoples friends list or having to do a manual search for you.

i imagine with the length of the races we will be looking at a finish time of around 11pm

we had lots of connection issues last night, and confusion regarding the grid positions

we have a few options:

1. we can reduce the length of race 2 to match race 1

2. we can reduce the length of race 3

3. we can start qualification at 8.45

can i also add that setting up the qualification lobbies took time for myself and mad dog and we sent out invites early - if you receive an invite to qualification - accept it!  its not fair to think it's ok for just you to keep hot lapping / tuning right up to the last minute - if we do have issues its a massive help if people turn up when asked

Im not asking for anything to be changed just wanted to get a more idea of what time things usually take , i can then arrange to go in later on a saturday morning if i know in advance , so it was just if that was norm , if it then its not a problem

As long as when invites are sent people accept them instead of finishing their 5 lap practice will speed things up. Also we had an issue with XPR Karma and his odd forza disc which cost us some time but these things happen and the first night is normally the longest,

Agree with dog that drivers seem to want to finish the practice off first instead of excepting there invite then once finished there is mass entry into the lobby causing some not to get in.

Maybe we should start sending invites out around 8.45pm GMT in order to start qual at 9pm

Myself, Maddog and Andy were in chat from 8:45 and we doing just that.

As we say,,hope for things to run smoother next week. We ran the test last night as concerns my Forza disc and all went well. Let us hope it does the same come race day
