you did barely touch the first one, but we do have to draw the line unfortunately, just amazed out of such a small lobby the amount of errors
some more so than others... i think you know who you are
Re: Pit entries/exits
im accepting the penalties but the rules say a penalty will be the result if you are seen to gain an advantage. i dont see how it is gaining an advantage by touching a line or at full acceleration crossing the white lines. now if i came flying into the pits cutting the grass and GAINING an advantage then ya i see your point. but touching the grass with one tire isnt gaining me anytime. i probably took it slower than anybody else. i think the penalties are a lil harsh but thats just my opinion.

Re: Pit entries/exits
rules are:
5. It is mandatory that when you make a pit stop you stay within the markings of the pit entrance and exit. Failure to do so could result in a penalty if you are seen to gain an advantage or endanger other drivers by doing so.
we had a big debate about this before you joined... too many people were exploiting entrances/exits by just "cutting a bit" in order to make it fair the above rule was agreed that no markings could be crossed

Re: Pit entries/exits
problem is COs have to spend time review it all after the race, deciding if there was an advantage or not takes 5 times as long, its the grey area of when to penalise and when to not, so the decision was taken that no markings could be crossed, only way to make it fair
Re: Pit entries/exits
It would be nice if certain drivers concentrated on their race etiquette first!

It wasn't from me, as I'm more of a have a word with the person and let them learn from their mistakes as a posed to punish them. But I'm not a steward so it's not really my place to say.
My post was really just aimed at anyone who thought they may have been in the wrong, and just be a bit more careful next time.

Re: Pit entries/exits
As one of the peeps with a penalty for this, I thought I got my pit entry spot on, was it my exit?
I'd dropped down to last place by then so knew I wasn't going to be in anyone's way so may not have given the exit as much thought as I should have. I forgot to save the replay to check either way so, if it was something to do with the entry, could someone point out the error for future reference? Like I said, if it's the exit then fair enough, it's a fair cop, Guv

off the top of my head i think you rejoined the circuit straight from the pit lane
CORRECT EXIT
INCORRECT EXIT
Re: Pit entries/exits
Cheers, Andy, that makes sense. I had a couple of practice goes pre-lobby but was so concerned with getting back into the race I didn't think about the exit. Mental note made...
