Hotlapping with a clean track is different than being stuck behind a car with more ponies down the straight in a race situation.

Re: Round 1 Twin Ring Motegi
I thnk the evo should get at least 12pi in light of the first round. And of course it would not be anything to do with me having the evo,,,,honest guv.

totally agree, however getting the balance right can be so hard - can't have one car with qually pace and the other with race pace as all the scoobies would be in B lobby lol
let's hope the amended PI helps out

Re: Round 1 Twin Ring Motegi
Great racing last night guys really enjoyed it.
Race 1 i had no chance of keeping with Demon and his Scooby and so was all about trying to break away from AgileAdam,Who was doing a great job of keeping the pressure on until a couple of mistakes let me off the hook.
Race 2 Was great fun,Some self inflicted areo damage meant that whilst i wasnt able to pick my way through the field i was able to have a near race long battle with CQR Jono.
Jono,That was a cracking display of defencive driving sir well played.
I think the decision to add the race driveline to the EVO is the right move.
I know a few people have said that they found them exactly equal BUT and i dont mean any disrespect with this but you have to look at the front runners and what they're saying rather than the mid field.
They are the guys that are getting the absolute maximum from the cars and if there is any difference then they're the guys that are going to pick up on it.
The Scooby does have a advantage in acceleration which was exaggerated by the nature of the Motegi circuit,Im sure the difference wouldnt have been so big on the other track in the calender, but there would have been a difference.
Bravo Deano for taking on board what has been said about the EVO from both sides, going away and testing it and addressing the issue.

Re: Round 1 Twin Ring Motegi
you gotta do what ya gotta do. As soon as I heard yours and Rangers concerns, I was concerned. Just wanted to get these cars running perfect with each other and giving everyone race long battles.(not just with the same manufacturer, hey jono lol) I think the race driveline was the right move.
P.s Thank you for all your input guys. much appreciated. x

Re: Round 1 Twin Ring Motegi
Has anyone actually compared these cars on any of the other circuits other than motegi?
as as everyone has ponited out, the scooby was more suited to motegi (well mine wasnt ) but on ther tracks where handling is key the Evo may well have it.

Re: Round 1 Twin Ring Motegi
Dont worry Lee, the race driveline wont be like adding a turbo mate. There's barely anything in it. I'm 200% happy now.
It could be your driving lol

we tested then accross the board on all tracks in the sereis bruv. was very little in it. However, the issue seems to be in hand with deano`s quick reactions.

Re: Round 1 Twin Ring Motegi
When I ran some lap pre season with nightmare we both noticed the scooby was able to pass evo at will. Thanks for listening deano mucho respect for getting on with sorting it.

Just ran some laps now compareing the new build to the old and apart from Motegi where the gain was .150 seconds everywhere else its not even noticeable maybe a .100 improvement at catalunya (1.xx.2 instead of 1.xx.3) but everywhere else it was way less than a tenth.
Ran 10 laps in each car at each track in the calender just now and the times are bang on between the cars except Maple where one car gets a slight advatange but nothing major.
Its not a radical change to the build just something that brings it a bit closer to the Scooby.
The Scooby and Evo both handle equally well it was just acceleration where there was a difference.
