Round 1 - Motegi - Pit Procedure Empty Round 1 - Motegi - Pit Procedure

Post by AndyT306 Fri Oct 26, 2012 10:59 am

Full use of the pit entry and exits lines should be used - no part of your car should be over the line at any point, on the entry you should follow the entry lane including the chicane, you should not cut over the sand, on the exit you should follow the solid white line down to the first corner

Is it part of the pitting 'rules' to call out when entering/leaving the pits? Especially as you come out on the racing line shortly after exiting.

Didn't have any major issues last night, one fairly close-call .. I just noticed a fair few people didn't call out.

Everyone who didn't call out gets a -10 point penalty.

And everyone who DID call out gets a 10 point bonus.

That ought to get people to remember Wink Laughing

This is the 1 pit stop a video is needed for as you have to enter at a set speed to make the right then left instead of cutting across the sand, as motegis pitstop is the worst 1 by far

I was amazed by the number of people in A Lobby last night that were adamant that it was 'impossible' to enter the pits without crossing the lines Rolling Eyes

I agree with tom about penalizing people who dont call out their pit entry/exit, especially if it nearly/does cause an incident which I had last night. The car dead in front of me said nothing, I decided to pit as I thought he was carrying on but instead he pit and I had to take evasive action.

I remind everyone to call out their pit entry and exit so there should be no excuses from last night.

I believed I did call out my pit while braking at the end of the long straight, however if my mic wasn't pulled down far enough I apologise, however did you ever look at that pit entry from both cars? seemed you "may" have stepped over the sand a bit, and on corner exit I lost 60% aero because the CPU forced our car's to exit inside eachother lol, anyways if my voice wasn't heard I apologise but I promise I did call out "Twisted Pitting".

Round 1 - Motegi - Pit Procedure Empty Re: Round 1 - Motegi - Pit Procedure

Post by LMR WARSPITE Tue Oct 30, 2012 1:58 pm

I tried to keep quiet as I am still so used to racing online (even though I rarely do nowadays) I tend to swear and commentate other racers actions as you know many do make every attempt to cause collisions purposly, so I mostly pushed my voicepiece up into the headset to prevent annoying chatter, however I had to quickly pull it down to call my pit entry/exit.

If this didn't happen then I accept the consequences, was a mistake on my end as I thought everyone heard my call but obviously not.

Sorry again Deano, I honestly am.

unfortunately pit calls isn't something that can ever be reviewed

i watched the incident in question and although twisted's move to the pits was late it was legal, however the late move does excuse Deano carrying slightly more speed into the pit than im sure he would have done if he knew you were pitting

any damage caused while the cars are under auto drive is unavoidable

Thats why I am not angry or upset over it, my mic caused the pit move by both players to be difficult, and that's why I have apologised and moved on, this was down to my end and no one elses, I just hope it can be forgotton for next week. Smile
