I just try and think wht the car is doing wrong then change it but im not saying u not driving it well but u could have a good set up and just got to get use to the track more cuz the last corner is where i was losing my time but ive found a good way around it and it took nearly 300 off my time so it could be down to lines thats my opinion lol Very Happy

Yes that might be it. I have only done the setup when i drove.
that means like 5-6 laps and then change the setup Smile

tuner help Empty Frustrating times in the pack

Post by neilracing07 Thu Jan 17, 2013 6:29 pm

deadlast, i was following u the hole way both races yesterday in the Audi. I was missing apex's by braking too hard and not keeping corner speed up through and out of turns and it looked the same with u yesterday. I think corner entry needs to b a bit more balanced and neater through the turn and exit. This is a criticism of myself on reflection of the race yesterday but we seemed to b same pace and line..need to save and watch replay of the quick boys and pick up some tips, that's my plan anyway. Embarassed see u Friday night for Leon's bounce

That statement right there is something anyone who finds themselves off the leading pace should definately do.

Finding the right braking points and lines for corners is FAR more important than the tune when it comes to ultimate laptime,Having a good tune isnt always making the car faster but allowing you to drive it in a way thats faster (does that even make sense??)

There isnt one tune thats going to deliver the quickest lap,But there usually is only one line to get the best possible time.

Being a bit tough on yourself dude!

I'd definately agree 100% on Nightmare's advice. Another thing I would reccomend is figure out what kinda pace you can run go to the leaderboards and find a time that's 3,4,or 5 tenths quicker and try to beat it and just keep repeating that. This will help you see where your losing your time and help you improve at a pace that's closer to yours.

Nightmare is absolutely right in that there is no magic setup. The right build, track knowledge, and practice go a long way. I know from chasing his ass on the leaderboards with his tunes many times and when I did manage to beat one of his times, (which wasn't often) he didn't let me enjoy it for too long. Laughing

In qualifying? does certified lap times come befor uncertified lap times?
And i agree with you other guys! I improved 0,2 seconds just by driving yesterday. See you on track today Smile

yes certified times go above uncertified - we don't condone exceeding track limits
