Drift academy Empty Drift academy

Post by GFM Liam Tue Jan 15, 2013 10:48 pm

Hey guys

I'am GFM Liam and before i did online organised racing i used to do organised online drfiting with the big teams on forza 2,3,4.

I had an idea for a while of setting up a drift academy and team for this website, i have knowledge of a few ex drifters on this website and people who are willing to give it a go. Drifting can be just as intense and fun as racing some people do for the joys of it and others for the seriousness of competition, but with my experience of drifting i would like to pass on my knowledge of this sport to you guys out there.

The academy its self will be a bit of fun for people who want to learn to drift, practice or simply help out with the new guys by making them watching you telling them how to drift the car without spinning and then so on to more advanced skills in drifting. People will be thinking i have no idea what cars are good for drifting on forza and some will but for every member of the academy will be given free of charge a fully built and competition tuned car fully complete with a design, all you have to do is apply you number and gamertag.

The drift team- the rules for teams within most competitions are a maximum of 4 drifters but not to worry if you want to be apart of the team i will setup an XPLR team but we will have a team ABCD ect, if people want to experience what it is like to drift at a high level either it be organised battles or events i will be responsible for the organisation of the events. for people who are part of one of the teams and want to have a fun drift session but with the big guys I'am in contact with one of the big teams from the forza forums team orange and team SO. The cars for the teams will be built to competition specification and it will be free choice as long as it is not an super car/exotic, any thing else is allowed as long as it is RWD.

Tunning- for people who want a drift car tuned to how there style of drifting is I'am more than happy to help out and also give out tips on how to tune yourself.

STAFF- currently it is just me but anyone who is willing to help me out and run sessions when i can't and make sure people in different time zones don't miss out on the fun. Drifters you know who you are and there is always that time inside when you can feel the drifter in you want to escape this is your chance.

please msg me on XBL GT:GMF Liam
and also post below on what you think also more info to come

Cant me in.

I am ok at drifting on forza i was very suprised when i statted drifting on the game how close to it it is in real life. Even though the setups are worlds apart in real life lol.

I put my drift setup from my real world drift car into my 240sx and it made fot a very grippy car lol

I'd be interested in helping out with this, I wont be much of a help for the team but i'll definitly be able to help some people out with their skills and tuning.
