PCars.....is it time to revisit?

Hi all.

Just trying to see what people are feeling now towards Project C.A.R.S. Pre Forza 6 release lots of us held high hopes for this title bring something new and frankly very pretty to the table.....

BUT....as we all remember, the patches and problems killed it for many at the time, and then when FM6 arrived and being as good as it is (yes, it has a few flaws,,but on the whole i think its ace) the community as i See it kinda walked away and have been quite happy not looking back.

However....should we?

I have been still playing the odd round from time to time and feel a lot of the issues have been addressed. It has a lot to offer still I feel but only if the interest of the community is there.

We only ran one series, the Clio Cup...and even that for as flawed as the game was...produced some excellent racing.

So..over to you guys...has anyone else been dipped their toe back in the water..lol..or tarmac as you see fit.

I still go on almost daily. Clio cup was the best online racing ive ever had. The lobby settings are way better. Tracks are better and the amount of cars is growing quickly. The only issue im still seeing is chat but im seriously thinking its an xbox issue not the game.

It was not controller friendly the last time I tried to play it. Does anyone know if that has improved?

Some top ten leaderboard times are now being posted with controllers. The patches seem to have a fair amount of work done for controller users

Are you speaking from experience mate and does anyone have tips on how to setup for controller use as just picked this game up

You have to start the game in Level PRO. If you havent delete and start over. There is something aboutit that causes a weird glitch with your controller settings. After that there is a guy on the steam forums with settings that everyone is raving about.

myself and eggy had a go tonight, still love the game but it's also still annoying with the car still turning right/left when you wanna go straight on, I think it depends on the car choice, the Gulf openwheeler feels gooood. Maybe 1 off endurance events but to run a 6-8 week series is a big commitment to a game that not many are playing. I'd defo be interested in helping out for an enduro though....12 hours of Donnington anyone??

I have recently come back to Pcars, Glad I did. I enjoy the driving so much more on this game.
I'm in for any event, with US friendly times.

We are running the Sunday time slot for most events right now. Would be great to get on track with you again.

Guys I am setting up for Clio Cup Season 4 now. Can I get a roll call for who is active on PCARS please.

I will run it for sure...we will need a decent test night though to see how stable it is chat wise etc.

I'd be interested in faster cars, why do we only race medium speed autos?

We havevsome faster stuff planned soon. We do normally find that the slower cars produce closer racing
