short circuit racing Empty short circuit racing

Post by XBR Deadlast Tue Dec 11, 2012 6:10 pm

Been toying with this playing online in a open public lobby to see how to work it.

Looking at using

camino viejo
iberian short
ledela s
maple s
sebring s
tsububa s

the basic setup would be this normal racing but on shorter tracks but i need opionins on acouple things as i do think this has grounds for a verygood chamiopnships

1. what class?? i have been using B today

2. AI cars i have used it with and without today and find having ai cars on pro has made it much better

3. how many people would like to do this and if not all tracks what tracks over say 2/3 nights

4. any imput you guys have???

cheers looking to start this after xmas

Personally, i dont think having ai cars on would work as they're quite unpredictable and slow, it doesn't matter what level they're on. I quit out twice earlier because i went to overtake, not uncommon in a race i know, but then the ai cars decided to brake for no apparent reason and i ended up with major damage, but thats just my thoughts. If it does go ahead, im afraid i wont be taking part, sorry

Ye, that mighta been why mate. I think there was only 4 humans running with the rest ai, half and half would be better, the trouble is they brake when they dont need to, but, with abit of practice, people could anticipate that and work around it.

If you could get a proper practice session sorted then we could see how it goes

Ok lets see what we can drum up.

I ran with 9 humans later in r1-2-3 and s class fun but hard.

This could be a cracking championship just need to set build and what not. I felt like maybe one make would be good but dunno i like to try and keep it open so everybody can join in.

Maybe if you run higher pi ai cars than humans it could be a good race, just gotta work out how much slower they are

Mix the cars up abit, but keep them within say 20-30 pi and see how that goes mate

i always think racing on the short tracks there is not enough places to overtake and it becomes more of a follow the leader or a dodgy dive up the inside. it can be close racing but with (sometimes) not all the times shitty outcomes for races
