Lap times/Tuning Tips

Anyone have lap times and /or tuning tips they would share? I have the Clio significantly better than it was stock, but I know it could be alot better.

My best time is a 1:22.1 on Catalunya National but my average times are between 22.5 and 23.5. I would be happy to share my tune with you given this series happens. Hopefully we can get at least 8 or we may have to pull the plug.

I'm pretty consistent at 1:23.1s. Gearing for this track is just never right

I spoke before I actually tried and put time In. 1.24s are where I'm at now.

Only managed a 1:25.9 so far. Just can't seem to get the hang of this game.

No problem...hope it helps. The first 3/4 of the first lap it will be really whippy in the back but gets better.
We really only need 8 drivers or so. Spread the word and see if you can get anybody. We may have to delay the start for a week or so. I wasn't even planning on running anymore series on PCars but this is a limited build in a simplified series plus I wanted to help support the site. It should be a fun series, just need people.

Thanks Cain. I was able to get down into the 24's in practice. That first lap is a bit trying to keep the car under you. Personally, I think they over exaggerated the cold tire handling. Just letting off the gas shouldn't send the car around like it tends to do.

Totally agree. Not like any car I've ever driven in reality. Also something strange I've noticed...I've been able to beat the AI drivers on hardest settings on every track but bugatti so far. And on Bugatti, I'm not even close to them. They can out brake me my a significant margin and they appear to be faster. Not sure what that's about.
Bottom line, with a decent tune and a couple laps, the cars are fun to drive and should make for a fun series. I think we may have gotten more people if it were on FM5. PCARS isn't too popular...at least not in my circle of friends and probably why their names aren't on the list.

yep, sucks big time as I truly enjoy the driving on Pcars way more then FM5, but hate playing by myself vs AI.

So, how do you guys go about setting up your cars? Do you look at the tire temps, and what temp are you looking for? I was looking to get about 200 and even across the tires. Does that work in this game? After yesterday I can see I still have a ways to go.

I found this website that has a bunch of setups for most cars. It's been a big help, but I still need to learn how to adjust things for myself.

My tuning is simply based on feel and the reason they can always be improved. I haven't bothered with the telemetry in pcars. Too inconvenient.

I just set the Clio up to be undriveable almost on cold tires. Then when they get hot later in the race your pace doesn't fall off so bad.

What's a competitive time around Laguna?
